Te Pou Theatre

Te Pou is a kaupapa Māori performing arts venue for all, located at Corban Estate Arts Centre in Auckland. We are dedicated to providing an accessible home for the creation and presentation of performing arts and house programmes that uplift our community.

Te Pou Theatre is part of the Corban Estate Arts Centre. It is a half an hour drive (outside of rush hour) from the Auckland CBD, and within easy walking distance of the Henderson township. The Corban Estate Arts Centre is also located on the western rail line. The entrance to Corban Estate Arts Centre is at the intersection of Great North Rd, Lincoln Rd, Swanson Rd, and Mt Lebanon Lane, in Henderson.

Te Pou Theatre is situated in the Corban Estate Arts Centre, 2 Mount Lebanon Lane Henderson.

Above the entrance is Te Pou Theatre logo on a large sign. The main entrance has large double doors that open into the foyer. These doors are approx 50m from the accessible parking spot. This entrance has a small lip to be mindful of when entering.

Step free access, and wheelchair accessible seating and toilets

To find the wharepaku / toilets, follow the bar around to the left, where there is one accessible toilet.

Service dogs are welcomed

There is lots of green space around the venue, including opposite the accessible parking spot and near the main car park. Staff will provide water for Service dogs on request. Please ask at the bar.

Mobility Carparks nearby
If there is no parking available at the front of the building, there are two accessible carparks located under the awning around the back of the sheds, approximately 50 metres from the main entrance. Follow arrows to go around. They are marked with yellow paint.

Drop off points
You can drop off patrons at the main public car park, which is labelled when entering the estate. This is a 20 m walk to the theatre entrance.

Public transport

Henderson Train Station is approx 1km away. There are also buses along Lincoln Rd and Great North Rd.

Other accessibility information

There are couches in the foyer. Please speak to the Te Pou kaimahi/staff if you need extra time to find a seat, they can let you in early.
Te Pou are a participating organisation for the Hāpai Access Card and our kaimahi have received training. Please use this Access Card if needed.
